River Cats Game

Here are some photographs I took at my first River Cats game. The writer Mark was great, and he helped me a lot in giving me a tour of the field. One thing I forgot to bring with me to the game were a pair of knee pads. Needless to say, during the game I had to frequently rest my knees from the hard cement I was kneeling on. I brought with me my Nikon D300, Nikkor 80-200 2.8, and Nikkor 17-55 2.8. For the mos part I have shot with the longer zoom.

Small shooters

These are two of my favorite photos from two camera finds: Konica Pop and Canon AF35 ML. These plastic point and shoots from the 80’s and 90’s can be found cheap at local thrift stores and surprisingly deliver good quality images.

UPDATE: One more small shooter that took me by surprise is my newly acquired Vivitar 35EE. It is a fully automatic point and shoot. A sturdy metal body in a compact size, this black finish rangefinder focus camera is very comfortable to hold. Not the fastest lens out there in its category (f 2.8), but it is very sharp. Even in low light conditions the meter read and adjusted the aperture and shutter speed accordingly. Below are sample photos taken by this beauty.
